• The following is a summary of our printer size capabilities. For more information, please ask an RPL technician.
  • We have many different printers to choose from, each with different capabilities. When creating a ticket, you may specify which machine you would like us to use. If you do not specify, we will choose the best option for your chosen material. While there are many options to choose from, your printer will depend on both the size of your part and the material you would like to print it out of.

  • There are two requirements:
  1. Choose a printer that can utilize your desired material
  2. Choose a printer with a large enough build volume for your part

IF YOU ARE NOT DESIGNING FOR SHAKER TABLE ROCKETS/WATER ROCKETS

The following are printers available for Projects. Please remember to only design for what you need, and do not fill out the entire build volume if you do not need it.

  • Additional considerations:
    • Do not try to maximize your part size for a given print volume. Your part should have a small margin around it to ensure that it fits your selected printer.
    • Does your part require soluble supports, or are detachable supports sufficient? Take this into consideration when selecting a printer - soluble supports take considerable extra time to post process.

Additionally, Please read through Submitting a Ticket.

IF YOU ARE DESIGNING SHAKER TABLE ROCKETS/WATER ROCKETS

The following are the printers available for the water rocket and shaker table rocket projects. The Raise, F370, and Prusa XL will not be available for these projects due to the nature of these projects and slower speed of these printers.
