The Prusa Research HT90 is one of the most special printers in our lab. It prints advanced materials like ABS, ASA, PEEK, PCCF and PA. It has a heated chamber with the capability to reach 90C. The Prusa HT90 features a 0.4mm High-Flow print head and a 0.6mm High-Temperature print head.
Temperatures
Nozzle Temperatures: Up to 500C
Bed Temperature: Up to 155C
Heated Chamber: Up to 90C
Build Size
The Prusa HT90 features a cylindrical build area (Ø300 × 400 mm). It is a delta kinematics 3D Printer that features excellent print speed and quality.
Flat Surfaces & Supports
The Prusa HT90 requires a flat surface on the model to use as the base, otherwise a great amount of support material will be required. This means that if possible, all overhangs should have a chamfer underneath them to minimize the need for supports.
However, overhangs and bridging with this advanced 3D Printer is much more manageable when compared to other 3D Printers.
Materials
It has a swappable print head with a high-temperature nozzle capable of reaching 500C.
High Temp Print Head: PEI (Ultem), PEEK, PEKK, PPSU, PSU, PPS, PES and more.
High Flow Print Head: PLA, ASA, PETG, FLEX (TPU, TPE), ABS, PA, PC, PCCF, PP and more
Note: Contact a technician for availability of exotic filaments
Costing (Exotic Filaments)
The cost for PLA will be $0.02 a gram of filament used and includes the support material used in the print. Minimizing the need for supports will make the overall cost lower. For other materials' costing information, contact a technician.
